Since its inception, PrimeCare Medical, Inc. has been singularly focused on providing quality correctional health care and partnering with its governmental and private entities. Providing outstanding care has enabled PrimeCare Medical to establish over 80 sites in five states. PrimeCare Medical, Inc. was incorporated in 1986 as Pennsylvania Institutional Health Services, Inc. (PIHS). In 1994, its name was formally changed to PrimeCare Medical, Inc. That same year, a subsidiary, PrimeCare Medical of New York, Inc. was created.
